IUJ OLYMPICS 2009 !!

Ladies...and Gentleman... Boys and Girls... The biggest sporting event in IUJ is here and it is happening this May 27th -31st 2009 ! (from 18:00 on weekdays and Saturday and from 09:00-16:00 on Sunday). Awarding ceremony will be held on the 31st May 2009.

Please fill out the application forms(sent to your mailbox or you could also get a copy from \\Iuj-home\public\GSO-Docs) to register your team and before you do that please read the instructions below.

General regulations

This year the following games will be held :
Badminton, Basketball, Dodge ball, Ping pong, Pool, Relay, Soccer, Tennis, Tug of War, Volleyball

The IUJ Olympics is open for participation to all IUJ Students, Alumni, Faculty, Staff, and their Spouse(s).

Participants will have to organize themselves in teams.

No substitution to the team members is allowed during the tournament.

Each team should nominate a captain that will be a point of contact for Olympics coordinator.

Each team should settle on a name. If there are teams who do not choose a name or a captain until the given deadline, the captain will be chosen by the Olympics coordinator and the name will be based on a sequence number.

For each tournament there will be only one winner, the team which comes first and the cummulative points from all the games will be used to rank the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed teams for the overall Olympics.

The conditions for forming a team are:
Ø Each team should consist of 12 members
Ø Each team must have at least 2 females among its members
Ø It is not allowed to have more than 3 members of same nationality
Ø Each member of the team must participate in at least 2 tournaments
Ø All teams must participate in all tournaments of the Olympics in IUJ

Monthly Kitchen Cleaning - April 2009

The monthly kitchen cleaning exercise will be conducted on coming Wednesday - April.15, 2009 as from 1:00 p.m. onwards. We suggest you to move in advance all your belongings including your electrical RICE COOKER and toaster from your kitchen shelf to your room temporarily to facilitate the cleaning. Otherwise anything left behind in the shelves shall be discarded.
